Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) is one of two international airports serving Bangkok. The other one is Don Mueang International Airport. BKK has a complex of three terminals: International Terminals 1 and 2 and a Domestic Terminal. You can fly in direct from dozens of countries, and fly with a layover from almost any airport in the world.
Chiang Mai also boasts its own international airport. Chiang Mai International Airport, located about three kilometres southwest of the Old City, is the main air hub linking Northern Thailand with China, Hong Kong, Laos, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia and Malaysia. Travelers also have access to a multitude of domestic routes to Pattaya, Bangkok, Samui, Udon Thani and Phuket.
For the last year, Qatar Airlines have operated flights into Chiang Mai from Doha, Qatar (which has excellent connections to Europe).
It is advisable to allow some time after arriving in Thailand before you start the tour. Resetting your body clock and acclimatizing and you may also want to spend a little time working with us on bike setup. Chiang Mai is an incredible city, and you will never be bored.

Many airlines offer international flights with a generous 30 kilogram luggage allowance and short lay-over times. But beware some of the cheaper deals that have very long lay-overs and charge extra for luggage and refreshments.
Given the financial status of some airlines and travel agents, it's best to book directly with the airline (not an intermediary) and to book with a credit card that offers cancellation insurance.
