Doi Ang Khang is a popular tourist destination in the Fang province. On the top of the mountain, the temperature can drop below zero in the winter months. You will see the delightful blooming wild Himalayan cherry and vast strawberry fields.
The drive to Ang khang is stunning and scenic. Road1340 skirts the Thai-Myanmar border and is very mountainous. The other access road is no.1249, which is much shorter but very steep with hairpins. This road can be tricky, especially when it rains. The views are incredible!
Ang Khang Royal Project Station
Ang Khang Royal Agricultural Station was founded His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej to help raise the living standards of underprivileged hilltribes. Ang Khang Royal Project covers a vast area of Ang Khang Hill that offers scenic views and nice weather all year round, especially during November and January when the temperature reaches its coldest. Sunset can also be witnessed on the tip of the mountain.
